Business Data Analyst (US Based)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Author and maintain documentation including tests, test plans, data dictionaries, etc.
  • Verifies and analyzes accuracy and quality of test results including writing SQL queries, update documentation, client feedback, etc.
  • Client implementation support including data mapping, test revisions, test result analysis and documentation support.
  • Identifies, analyzes, and interprets trends and patterns in large and complex data sets.
  • Analyze internal/client reporting, make recommendations to management to enhance and improve reporting.
  • Exhibits professional and customer appropriate communications (written and verbal). Listens effectively.
  • Displays strong technical writing skills and presents information in a concise and logical manner.
  • Organizes and plans work effectively. Balances priorities among projects.
  • Identifies opportunities to implement new or modified approaches to resolve problems and maximize opportunities.
  • Completes work in a thorough, accurate, well thought out, and timely manner and with attention to detail.
  • Demonstrates high degree of ethics, integrity, and confidentiality at all times.
  • Displays initiative and self-motivation. Sets high goals for self and others and demonstrates a strong sense of urgency. Achieves results in a high-pressure environment.
  • Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualification and Experience:

  • S. degree in Business, Computer Science, or similar field preferred or similar work experience.
  • 5+ years demonstrated experience in a similar role within a large financial/banking organization
  • Experience with MS Office tools to enable documentation, visualization, communication; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, process flow software, Sharepoint
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL required, Tableau a plus
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information, including underlying logic within large datasets
  • Strong prioritization and organizational skills, including the ability to maintain several concurrent activities while managing user expectations
  • Able to work independently most of day, as well as, in a team environment with clients, technical team and peers.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as excellent attention to detail
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to draw conclusions based on data
