Compliance Business Analyst

About Azimuth:

The Compliance Business Analyst will work closely with the Product Management Team, internal teams, and external customers to facilitate data and requirements-gathering sessions. The Compliance Business Analyst will understand the data necessary to fulfill testing requirements, document the required data fields, and clearly communicate data needs to the customer. The Compliance Business Analyst will also document requested changes to requirements and explain test results to the customer. This role requires 5+ years in financial services and a firm understanding of loan and/or banking processes. This role is an on-site position based in Jacksonville, FL.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Document the data points necessary to execute the compliance test and prepare deliverables for data mapping sessions with external stakeholders.
  • Drive data mapping sessions with management and customer stakeholders.
  • Drive validation sessions with management and customer stakeholders.
  • Research questions raised in validation sessions to explain how data is used in testing and calculation processes.
  • Document meeting minutes and deliverables from meetings with team members and customers.
  • Update internal and external test requirement documentation, data mapping documents, and other deliverables based on internal or customer requirements changes.
  • Document logic change requirements to existing tests, communicate proposed changes to customer requirements, and facilitate requirements reviews related to the implementation of new or changed laws/statutes.
  • Respond to and address questions related to requirements from development teams.
  • Create procedures and documentation of processes.

Qualification and Experience:

  • 3+ years demonstrated experience in documenting data requirements, updating requirements documentation, and performing process redesign and workflow analysis.
  • 5+ years experience developing requirements and reviewing data in financial services. Experience in data analysis for automation opportunities and understanding of financial services systems like MSP, SHAW, and Encompass preferred.
  • Strong prioritization and organizational skills, including the ability to maintain several concurrent activities while managing user expectations.
  • Ability to work independently, multi-task, and adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment without daily oversight.

Education and Experience:

The ideal candidate should be a highly successful financial services professional with at least 5 years of experience. The candidate should bring the following:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science, or related fields or comparable experience and training.
  • Current or prior experience documenting and updating requirements, procedures, or policies
  • Current or prior experience conducting data mapping and data requirements gathering
